Mihăiță Păunel Pleşan (born February 19, 1982 in Moldova Nouă , Caraş-Severin County ) is a Romanian football player . He has been without a club since the beginning of 2015.

Club career

FC Universitatea Craiova

Pleşan played since youth at FC Universitatea Craiova and made his debut in Divizia A on April 14, 2001 against Astra Ploieşti . Astra won the game 1-0. He played from 2000 to 2005 in the professional team of Universitatea and scored 13 goals in 67 games.

Dinamo Bucharest

In 2005, Pleşan moved to Dinamo Bucharest for around 750,000 euros, he came there in six months on 12 missions and scored 2 goals. In the UEFA Cup , Pleşan played four times for Dinamo and did not score a goal.

FCU Politehnica Timișoara

In January 2006, the FCU Politehnica Timișoara announced that they had committed Pleșan. Timișoara transferred around 800,000 euros to Dinamo Bucharest. Pleșan ran from 2006 to 2007 30 times for Politehnica Timișoara and scored 6 goals.

Steaua Bucharest

In August 2007, Steaua Bucharest announced that it would sign Pleșan for around 1,500,000 euros. In 2007, Pleșan was used for the first time in the Champions League qualification . Steaua played against BATE Baryssau and he played over 90 minutes, the game ended 2-2.

Volga Nizhny Novgorod

Since January 2011, Pleşan has been playing for Volga Nizhny Novgorod in the 1st division , Russia's second-highest division. At the end of the 2012/2013 season, he left the club to return to his home country.

National team

Pleşan played its first international match against Italy in 2003 , which Italy won 1-0. He played a game for Romania for EURO 2008 qualifying against Slovenia . The game ended 2-0 for Romania, Pleşan came on in the 78th minute.
