The Ruckwitzsee is located in the north of the Sternberg lake landscape in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, in the Mustin municipality . It is located southeast of the Ruchow district. The little indented body of water has a maximum length of about 400 meters and a maximum width of 200 meters in the southern part. The lakeshore is wooded in a narrow line. The lake is located in the northern part of a chain of lakes that goes through the municipality from north to south.
