Rudi Horn

Rudi Horn (born June 21, 1938 in Kobier (Kobiór) near Kattowitz as Rudolf Horzonek ) is a former German pop singer who became known in the 1960s and 1970s with songs about the Ruhr area .

Horn was born the son of a musician. During his apprenticeship as a bricklayer, he played with his band Die Kolibris at dance events. In 1960 he won a young talent competition in Cologne and then took on four titles under the name Mac Donald with Polydor and another four with Cornet as Rudi Hornek . In the following years he worked in his learning profession and also took singing lessons. From 1965 onwards , Electrola released several singles under the name Rudi Horn , which he used as a stage name from then on . In 1972, BASF Cornet released his first LP "Vatter Brüggemanns Tauben", with texts about the Ruhr area, written by Fritz Graßhoff and set to music by Heinz Gietz . 1978 made another LP on this subject with Bellaphon . Rudi Horn later performed with boy scout singing groups.
