Rudolf Alexander Agricola
Rudolf Alexander Agricola (born April 3, 1912 in Moscow , † June 21, 1990 in Königstein im Taunus ) was a German sculptor .
Life
Agricola grew up in Kassel. In the 1930s he studied with Gerhard Marcks in Halle and at the Städel with Richard Scheibe . In 1937 he followed Richard Scheibe to Berlin as a master student . He worked there until the end of World War II and received several awards. In 1946 he settled as a freelance artist in Kronberg im Taunus . His work was influenced by Kolbe and Maillol . He primarily carried out private commissioned work in the Frankfurt area and on the Lower Rhine.
