Rudolf Marktschläger

Rudolf Marktschläger (born August 2, 1896 in Linz , † May 13, 1966 in Steyr ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and savings bank director. From 1945 to 1949 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

After primary school, Marktschläger attended grammar school and was subsequently employed as a bank clerk and savings bank director of the Upper Austrian Volkskredit Bauern- und Gewerbebank . He was a member of the Steyr municipal council from 1927 to 1934 and was also the city's deputy mayor until 1933. He represented the ÖVP in the National Council between December 19, 1945 and November 8, 1949.
