Rudolf von Wart (documented from 1274 ; † 1309 ) was historically the most important representative of the Barons von Wart .

He was Herr zu Falkenstein in the Klus bei Balsthal and zu Multberg bei Pfungen , married to Gertrud von Balm . He supported Johann von Schwaben in the murder of King Albrecht I. In the blood revenge, his castles were destroyed while he was on his way to Avignon to obtain absolution from the Pope. He was recognized in France and handed over to Duke Leopold and probably whacked in Brugg .
