Rudolph Philip Waagner

Rudolph Philip Waagner (born July 16, 1827 in Korneuburg , † 1888 ) was an Austrian civil engineer .

biography

Waagner founded his company in 1854 as a small trading company in Vienna . The company was founded through the merger of his metalworking business and those of Anton Biró and Albert Milde .

Initially, the Rudolph Philip Waagner company had a small foundry in Weidling and acquired a good reputation for producing high-quality steel. In 1880 Gustav Ritter von Leon bought the company and added it to his bridge building business. Through various mergers and changes, today's Waagner-Biro was founded in 1924, based in Vienna.
