Rugnux tunnel
The Rugnux tunnel is the lowest roundabout tunnel on the Albula Railway on the Bergün - Preda section in the canton of Graubünden ( Switzerland ). It has a length of 662 meters. The total of three roundabout tunnels and four Albula viaducts (crossing the valley) allow the gain of height, without which an adhesion railway would not be possible. The Rugnux Tunnel is - besides the Maliera Gallery and apart from the Albula Viaducts that cross the valley - the only structure on the Albula Railway from Tiefencastel on the left (western) side of the valley.
