A relaxation room is a room or area in which there is a possibility of retreat, mainly in noisy surroundings, where there is less background noise.

Occurrence

Public swimming pools and saunas

Relaxation rooms are often offered in public bathing establishments or in public saunas . A swimmer can retreat to such an area in order to temporarily withdraw from the surrounding noise.

Doctor's offices

There are also relaxation rooms in doctor's offices to give the patient the opportunity to prepare for an upcoming operation or to have a trusting conversation with the doctor.

Companies

In companies, the idea is sometimes gaining ground to provide employees with separate areas during working hours in order to maintain employee productivity.

There are already first attempts to build relaxation rooms in educational institutions.
