The Ruhr-story was an agency in Gelsenkirchen that took on the commercialization of literary texts in magazines and newspapers for their authors.

The agency run by the couple Gunhild and Ernst-Adolf Kunz was active in the 1950s and 1960s and looked after authors such as Heinrich Böll , Siegfried Lenz , Paul Schallück , Milo Dor , Reinhard Federmann , Teofila Reich-Ranicki , Josef Reding , Josef Eberle , Günter Grass and Ilse Aichinger . Heinrich Böll was good friends with Gunhild Kunz.
