Ruins (band)
Ruins is a Japanese Zeuhl band. Ruins merge French Zeuhl with punk music . Similar to Magma , Ruins' music is driven by the drums, but in harder and faster beats.
Ruins were founded in 1985 by drummer Tatsuya Yoshida . Originally known as progressive rock - power trio planned was a duo from ruin because the guitarist did not appear at trial. Ruins has been on tour since then, played with YBO2, Zeni Geva , Yona-Kit, The Flying Luttenbachers , High on Fire, Ground Zero, Derek Bailey and others, and developed her own style of the typical Ruins session from this. The only constant factor in these sessions is the drummer Tatsuya Yoshida. The bassist was Kawamoto Hideki from 1985 to 1987, Kimoto Kazuyoshi until 1990, Masuda Ryuichi until 1994 and Sasaki Hisashi until 2004. During the summer of 2005, Ruins went on a bassist Wanted tour, where Tatsuya Yoshida played with changing guest musicians. Since then he has played Ruins concerts several times alone and in 2011 released the Ruins album alone without an accompanying musician .
