Runa Laila
Runa Laila ( Bengali : রুনা লায়লা , Runā Lāẏlā ; born November 17, 1952 in Sylhet as Sultana Chaudhry ) is a singer from Bangladesh .
Life
In her home country, Runa Laila is a popular pop singer; however, in other parts of South Asia it is also known for its ghazel interpretations. She has recorded songs for numerous Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi films. Her most famous song is Dama Dam Mast Qalandar , which has been covered by many other singers. She has been on concert tours in South Asia, Arab states, the USA and England.
Runa Laila has been married to the Bangladeshi actor Alamgir for the second time since 2006.
