Plan of a Runddysse (Runddolmen) seen from above, here with an eccentric chamber

The Runddysse of Aasholm is located on the Dysseholm road, south of Holmevej, east of Gundsømagle near Roskilde on the Danish island of Zealand . The dolmen was built between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC as a large stone grave of the funnel cup culture (TBK).

The oval mound measures approximately 12.0 × 8.0 m and is approximately 70 cm high. The hill is on flat terrain near the marshy Værebro river valley. The top stone of the dolmen in the middle protrudes about 70 cm from the ground. It is a primeval dolmen with three carrying stones and a capstone with a bowl ( Skåltegn in Danish ). 16 curbs are visible. The owner of the nearby farm burned a pile of wood, and two curbs were damaged by flaking.
