The National Park Call of the Tiger ( Russian Зов Тигра национальный парк ) is a national park in the Far East of Russia . It was designated in June 2007 and covers an area of 82,152 hectares.
Emergence
The Call of the Tiger National Park is the first national park in the Far East of Russia. A few days later, the Udegejskaja Legenda National Park was established north . Both national parks serve primarily to protect the Siberian tiger . Together they cover around one eighth of the Primorye region . The designation of the protected areas was preceded by over 20 years of planning, in which the WWF was significantly involved. Meanwhile, there was a danger that the timber industry, the major pine - mixed forests could cut down the area can.
