The Rundu College of Education (RCE) was one of four colleges of education in Namibia and offered three-year diploma courses in Professional basic education for elementary and secondary school teachers , namely the Basic Education Teacher Diploma at (BETD).
The university was founded in 1996 and was based in Rundu , the capital of the Kavango region . It had classrooms, a university library, a computer and arts center, and student dormitories.
Effective April 1, 2010, the college was incorporated into the Faculty of Education at the University of Namibia .
