The rune stone of Eds (U 104, also called Oxfordstenen) is a rune stone that was walled up in the cemetery wall of the church of Eds in the parish of Eds in the municipality of Upplands Väsby in Uppland in Sweden until the end of the 17th century .

In 1687, the Swedish King Charles XI gave the stone, along with other rune stones, to King James II of England. It was first included in the Oxford University Collections and in 1848 it was moved to the Ashmolean Museum , where it stands in the lobby of the library. A copy of the stone is in Eds Kyrka ( location of the copy ).

The stone is one of the Greece rune stones , made in the Urnes style by the rune master Øpir , who also created the rune stone of Arentuna .

The text says:

'þorstin' lit × kera 'merki' ftiR 'suin' faþur 'sin' uk 'ftiR' þori '(b) roþur' sin 'þiR' huaru 'hut' til 'k - ika' (u) (k) ' iftiR 'inkiþuru' moþur 'sin' ybiR risti '

Þorsteinn put the monument in memory of Sveinn, his father, and in memory of Þórir, his brother. You were abroad in Greece. And in memory of Ingiþóra, his mother. Œpir carved (the runes).

Near the original location is Ed's rune block and other rune-labeled artifacts.
