Runestone from Indre Bø

The Runestone Indre Bø (N 249) also Ytre Bø or Bøvika, stands in the garden of a farm in Indre Bø in Randaberg at Stavanger in the Fylke Rogaland in Norway .

The rune stone , shaped like a high, slender plate, is around 4.5 meters high, 60 to 70 cm wide and 30 cm thick. The top is flat. The stone is bluish-gray.

The runic inscription in Younger Futhark is in the right corner of the south side. It starts 0.5 meters above the ground along the longer edges of the stone and it reads from bottom to top. She dates the stone to 800 to 900 AD. The inscription reads: "Kolbjørn was the name of a man who lived here."

The rune stone stands in a grave rose with a diameter of 5.5 m. Presumably it was placed there secondary.

The building stone from Indre Bø is nearby .
