Rungsiodes stenopterella is the only species of the genus Rungsiodes that belongs to the family of real moths (Tineidae). Belonging to a subfamily is unknown. The species has only beenfoundonce in Morocco . The genus is named in honor of its discoverer Charles EE Rungs, former director of the Laboratoire d'Entomologie in Rabat, Morocco.

features

The antennae of these moths reach to the tips of the forewings. There are some protruding bristles on the first antenna segment, the others are smooth up to the middle. The end links are clearly separated from each other.

Finds

The species is given from dead wood that was eaten by beetle burrows. Only males are documented, the female is unknown. No other finds of this type have been documented or published since the first description .
