Running Man (Korean: 런닝 맨) is a South Korean variety show . The show first aired on July 11, 2010.
In the show "Running Man", seven celebrities in the main cast (Yoo Jae-suk, Garie , Haha, Ji Suk-jin, Kim Jong-Kook, Lee Kwang-soo and Song Ji-hyo ) have to complete certain missions with changing celebrity guests to win the race.
Running Man was originally conceived as an "urban action variety show", a type of variety that takes place in urban areas . The celebrities in the first episodes had to master tasks at important Korean locations and landmarks in order to win the episode.
From episode 48, the format of the show was redesigned so that each episode consists of several missions and a race based on the principle of catching at the end. There are episodes in which teams are formed as well as episodes in which everyone plays for himself. The winner of the race automatically wins the sequence. Through the previous missions, the celebrities gain certain advantages or hints that should help them to win in the final race.
