Song Ji-hyo (born August 15, 1981 in Pohang ), real name Cheon Seong-im , is a South Korean actress . She is part of the regular cast of the popular variety show Running Man .

Life

Song Ji-hyo's acting career began with a brief appearance in the drama Age of Innocence . In 2003 she landed the lead role in the horror film Wishing Stairs . For this she was nominated for the Blue Dragon Award for best new actress . This was followed by another leading role in the crime thriller Some (2004) on the side of Go Soo .

In 2006 she played leading roles in the television series Princess Hours and Jumong . Both were very successful in Asia . In 2008 she played the Queen in the historical film Blood & Flowers - The Guardian of the King by Yoo Ha . The film reached nearly four million moviegoers in South Korea.

Since 2010, Song has been part of the regular cast of the variety show Running Man . In 2012 she played a cop in Park Hoon-jung's thriller noir New World . In 2016 it was able to establish itself in the Chinese entertainment industry. There she took part in the Chinese version of the South Korean television format We Got Married at the side of Chen Bolin and played leading roles in the film productions 708090 and Super Express (both in 2016). In 2017 she received her own beauty show ( 송지효 의 뷰티 뷰 Song Ji-hyo-ui Beauty View ) on KBS and produced her own reality program. 2018 she starred in the comedy What a Man Wants by Lee Byeong-heon and in the action film Unstoppable alongside Ma Dong-seok .
