Rudolf Anton Jugoviz (born February 15, 1868 in Donawitz , † September 7, 1932 in Bruck an der Mur ) was an Austrian forester. He was the first doctor of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna , after the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences had received the right to award doctorates in 1906 and was the founder and long-time director of the Higher Forestry School in Bruck an der Mur .

He studied forestry from 1888 to 1892. During this time he became a member of the Silvania Vienna fraternity in 1888 . He then worked for the Austro-Hungarian State Forests in Bukovina . He switched to the forestry school in Gusswerk as a teacher and from 1896 was a professor at the forestry school in Mährisch Weißkirchen . In 1900 the then higher forestry school for the Alpine countries was founded in Bruck an der Mur; As director, Jugoviz was entrusted with the organizational and educational development of the new school. Until his death he ran the school for a total of 32 years. Scientifically, Jugoviz mainly dealt with wood anatomy and was considered a leading specialist in this area in Austria.
