Adolf Grabner

Adolf Grabner (born September 17, 1927 in Wildalpen ; † November 11, 2018 in Linz ) was an Austrian forester and museum educator. He was the founder and long-time director of the Silvanum Forest Museum in Großreifling ( Styria ).

Life

Grabner was a teacher at the Bruck Forest School from 1951 to 1987 and founded a museum association in 1975, which succeeded in opening the forest museum in 1979. It is located in a former granary of the Innerberger main union in Großreifling near the Erzberg .

The foundation of the local history museum in Wildalpen in 1966 also goes back to Grabner's initiative.

In 2008 he withdrew from his activities in the museum for health reasons.
