The Ruotsalainen ( Finnish for "Swedish") is a lake in the Finnish landscape of Päijät-Häme .
The 74.13 km² large lake is located east of the Päijänne and is the first lake to flow through by its outflow, the Kymijoki . The Ruotsalainen lies at a height of 77.5 m. At its eastern end, at Heinola , the Kymijoki flows off to the neighboring Konnivesi lake .
