Rupboden is a district of Zeitlofs in the Bad Kissingen district in Bavaria .

geography

The village of Rupboden is located on the left bank of the Sinn at 270  m above sea level. NHN . State road 2289 leads through the village from Wernarz to Zeitlofs. To the west, on the right-hand side of the Sinn, is the Kälberberg . The village of Eckarts is about two kilometers north. Route 46 , an unfinished section of the motorway, is located south of Rupboden . Until 2016, the Jossa – Wildflecken railway line ran on the outskirts .

history

"Ruodboto" was first mentioned in 1317. The name could be traced back to the personal name "Roppo" or "Rupert". Rupboden with the district Eckarts and the Schmidthof formed the political community Eckarts-Rupboden , which was incorporated into Zeitlofs in 1978.
