Ruslan Leonidowitsch Grizan ( Russian Руслан Леонидович Грицан ; born December 7, 1978 in Moscow ) is a Russian ski orienteer and mountain bike orienteer .

career

Grizan became Junior World Champion in 1998 on the short and long distance in orienteering skiing. At the Elite World Championships between 2002 and 2005, Grizan won four gold medals, including three with the Russian relay. In 2004 he finished fourth in all three individual competitions, while at the World Ski Orienteering Championships in Levi, Finland, at the same time as his compatriot Andrei Gruzdew, he won gold in the middle distance the following year .

In mountain bike orienteering, Grizan made his debut in 2004 at the second world championships in this discipline. In 2005 he was already two-time world champion. Until 2012 he won at least one medal at all world championships. He was world champion seven times, including twice with the relay.
