The 2011 Mountain Bike Orienteering World Championships took place from August 20 to 28, 2011 in and around Vicenza , Italy . It was the first and so far only time Italy hosted these championships.

For qualification, 87 drivers competed in three groups. The distance in the three groups was between 13.9 km and 14.2 km with 825 meters of altitude and 16 posts. Group A won Lasse Brun Pedersen ( DEN ) ahead of Beat Schaffner ( SUI ) and Christian Hohl ( SUI ). Group B won Samuli Saarela ( FIN ), followed by Tobias Breitschädel ( AUT ) and Piero Turra ( ITA ). In Group C, Erik Skovgaard Knudsen ( DEN ), Ruslan Grizan ( RUS ) and Giaime Origgi ( ITA) took the first three places.
