Alonte (German obsolete: Lont ) is a northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1599 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located about 22 kilometers south-southwest of Vicenza on the Chiampo and borders directly on the province of Verona .
history
The necropolis of Alonte dates from the 6th to 4th centuries BC and has eight graves that together form a rectangle. The community is first mentioned in documents during the Middle Ages (753), the church is mentioned in the rationes decimarum (1297–1303). The Corlanzone district , on the other hand, did not appear until 1545.
