Barbarano Mossano is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 6388 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza ( Veneto region ).

geography

Barbarano Mossano is located about 13.5 kilometers south of Vicenza in the wine-growing region of the Colli Berici . The municipality borders on the province of Padua .

history

The municipality was created in February 2018 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Barbarano Vicentino and Mossano .

Administrative division

The municipality of Barbarano Mossano includes the five fractions : Barbarano Vicentino (municipality seat), Mossano, Ponte di Barbarano, Ponte di Mossano and San Giovanni in Monte.
