Montecchio Precalcino is a north-east Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5020 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located about 13.5 kilometers north of Vicenza on the Astico .

Together with the neighboring municipality of Villaverla, there is a train station on the railway line from Vicenza to Schio . The A31 autostrada runs through the municipality on the southwestern edge .

Attractions

The Villa Forni Cerato is attributed to Girolamo Forni, a pupil of Andrea Palladio . It was created in 1541/42.
