Torri di Quartesolo is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 11,732 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located on the Tèsina about 6 kilometers southeast of Vicenza . Torri di Quartesolo borders directly on the province of Padua .
history
The district of Lerino was first mentioned in 1297, Marola as early as 1262. The bridge over the Tèsina (1569) was designed by Andrea Palladio .
Economy and Transport
For a few years, Torri di Quartesolo was the headquarters of the now insolvent low- cost airline myair . A huge shopping mall ( Le Piramidi ) has made the community an attraction for shoppers from all over the surrounding area since the 1990s . Torri di Quartesolo is conveniently located in the acute angle between the A4 (Turin-Trieste) and A31 (east bypassing Vicenza), with only the Vicenza-Est junction leading directly to Torri di Quartesolo. In the district of Lerino there is a train station on the Milan - Venice route . Strada Regionale 11 Padana Superiore runs through the main town .
