Recoaro Terme (German outdated: Rechenwehr or Reichswehr) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located about 30 kilometers northwest of Vicenza and borders directly on the provinces of Trento and Verona . Recoaro lies in the foothills of the small Dolomites on the Agno mountain river . The springs are used here for hydrotherapy .
history
In 1262 the district of Rovegliana is proven. Since 1934, the church carries the name component Terme . The community has been open to tourism since the 18th century (Friedrich Nietzsche in particular is said to have been inspired here for his work "Also sprach Zarathustra"). During World War II the place served as quarters and command post of Army Group C .

Recoaro Terme maintains partnerships with the Bavarian city of Neustadt an der Donau (Germany) and with the Argentine municipality of Colonia Carolina in the Goya department .
