Castegnero is a north-east Italian municipality (comune) with 2893 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located about 12 kilometers southeast of Vicenza in the Colli Berici and not far from the Euganean Hills . The administrative headquarters are in Ponte di Castegnero .

The municipality was already settled by the Venetians in the 2nd century BC.
