Poiana Maggiore (also: Pojana Maggiore ) is a north-east Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4260 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located about 29 kilometers south-southwest of Vicenza and borders the provinces of Padua and Verona .

The community is not only known for the medieval castle complex, but especially for the Villa Poiana , an early work by Andrea Palladio .
