Val Liona is an Italian commune with 3,081 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza ( Veneto region ).

geography

The municipality is located in the district of Pederiva about 16 kilometers south-southwest of Vicenza in the Colli Berici . The municipal area of the scattered community include fractions Campolongo, Grancona , San Gaudenzio, San Germano dei Berici , Spiazzo and Villa del Ferro.

The neighboring communities are Alonte , Brendola , Lonigo , Orgiano , Sarego , Sossano , Villaga and Zovencedo .

history

The municipality of Val Liona was created in 2017 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Grancona and San Germano dei Berici.
