Arcugnano (German obsolete: Archunian ) is a northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7823 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located about 5 kilometers south-southwest of Vicenza in the wine-growing region of Colli Berici . In the middle of the municipality lies the Lago di Fimon . The administrative headquarters are in the Torri district .

history

The fertile area was already populated in pre-Roman antiquity. However, settlements in the municipality are only documented from the High Middle Ages . Finally, a church of Arquiniano is mentioned in the 12th century.

traffic

The A4 autostrada runs from Turin to Trieste to the north of the municipality . However, there is no connection.
