Orgiano is a northeastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3051 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located about 23 kilometers south-southwest of Vicenza on the edge of the Colli Berici .

history

The community was the settlement area of ​​the Euganeans , and Celtic tribes had also settled here. The community only became known with the conquest by the Republic of Venice in 1404. Before that, troops from Padua and Vicenza had razed the old and new castle complex several times. In 1908, today's neighboring municipality Asigliano Veneto was detached from the municipality .
