Campiglia dei Berici (Venetian: Campìja dei Berici , German: Kampil ) is a north-east Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1682 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located about 23.5 kilometers south of Vicenza in the Colli Berici . Campiglia dei Berici was only called Campiglia until 1867 .
history
The castle that served the Bishops of Vicenza was destroyed in 1194. The rule of Campiglia passed to the Repeta family in 1217. Andrea Palladio built the manor house of the Repeta family, on the ruins of which the current building was built in 1672.
