Nove is a northeastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4943 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto .

geography

The municipality is located about 22 kilometers northeast of Vicenza on the Brenta . The Isacchina , a tributary of the Brenta , also flows through the municipality .

The neighboring municipalities are Bassano del Grappa , Cartigliano , Marostica , Pozzoleone and Schiavon .

history

Nove was founded in 1457 and has been known as a production site for ceramic goods since the beginning of the 17th century.

Nove maintains partnerships with the Belgian municipality of Welkenraedt in the province of Liège and the Brazilian municipality of Carlos Barbosa in the state of Rio Grande do Sul as well as three intra-Italian partnerships with the municipalities of Langhirano in the province of Parma , Montelupo Fiorentino in the metropolitan city of Florence and Santo Stefano di Camastra in the Metropolitan city of Messina .
