Costabissara ( Venetian Còsta ) is a northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7703 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality is located about 6 kilometers northwest of the city center of Vicenza . From here the Orolo flows into the Bacchiglione .

history

The origins of the community are unknown. From the 11th century there is evidence of a Costabissara fief that came into the possession of the Maltraverso family . The Castello Sforza-Colleoni was built in the 12th century.
