Chiampo is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 12,692 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Vicenza in Veneto . The municipality in the Valle del Chiampo of the same name borders the province of Verona . Chiampo is 20 kilometers west of Vicenza and about 25 kilometers northeast of Verona . The Alpone, a short tributary of the Adige, flows through the municipality .
