myair (My Way Airlines) was an Italian low-cost airline based in Milan and based at Bergamo Airport .
history
The airline was founded in 2004 and started operations on December 17th of the same year with three leased Airbus A320-200s . A week later, myair had received its own flight license and was thus able to start flight operations with its own aircraft. Myair was supported by the Italian airline Volare Airlines . Myair also held a 20% stake in the Swiss airline Darwin Airline .
In July 2009 the Italian aviation authority withdrew myair's operating license due to doubts about its economic performance, after which it was not possible to prove that the operating costs were covered and that the announced recapitalization could not be proven. The company has not been allowed to operate any more flights since then. In January 2010, the company was finally by a court in Vicenza for insolvent explained.
