Cargoitalia SpA was an Italian cargo airline based in Milan and based at Milan Malpensa Airport . The administrative seat was in Lonate Pozzolo .
history
Cargoitalia was founded in 2003 and took over the cargo flight business of the dissolved Alitalia Cargo in 2009 , but without the marketing rights for the cargo capacities of Alitalia's passenger aircraft , which it retained after its restructuring. Flight operations were resumed after an interruption with initially two McDonnell Douglas MD-11Fs . Air traffic was finally completely stopped on December 21, 2011 due to the company's liquidation.

Cargoitalia operated cargo flights to destinations worldwide. Connections from Milan via New York to Chicago and from Milan via Dubai to Hong Kong and back on the same route were served on scheduled flights.

A letter of intent was also signed to purchase five Airbus A330-200Fs and three options.
