Air Vallée SpA was an Italian airline based in Rimini and based at Rimini Airport . The company suspended operations as of June 2016 due to a grounding; their air operator certificate has been withdrawn by the Italian civil aviation authority ENAC. On September 11, 2018, the airline was declared bankrupt.
history
The creation of Air Vallée in 1987 was financed by the Aosta Valley government to develop the region . In 2009 the first grounding was carried out by ENAC for one year, in 2013 the second and in June 2016 the third.
Destinations
Air Vallée flew from Parma to Catania and Olbia , from Turin to Pescara and from Pescara to Bucharest . Charter flights were also offered.
fleet
Most recently, Air Vallée's fleet consisted of a Fokker 50 ( registration SE-LEZ). Before that, the company also used the Airbus A320-200 , Dornier 328-300 / 310JET and McDonnell Douglas MD-83 .
Incidents
The Air Vallée recorded one incident in its history:
- When a Fokker 50 (registration SE-LEZ) landed on April 30, 2016 from Rimini to Catania with 21 people on board, the crew had to land in Catania without the nose wheel . The aircraft has not been used since then.
