Lauda Air SpA was an Italian airline and sister company of the Austrian Lauda Air , which appeared in the market as Lauda Air Italia .
history
Lauda Air Italia was founded in September 1990, one third each owned by the Austrian Lauda Air , the holding company Volante Srl controlled by Niki Lauda . ( Steering wheel ) and with Parmalat ITC + P SpA joined in 1993, the Company received an Air Operator Certificate and started operation from Milan Malpensa Airport from long-distance tourist destinations in the were Caribbean , South America , Africa , the Maldives and Thailand served . In 1996 a cooperation was started with the second largest Italian package tour operator Gruppo Ventaglio , who joined the company in March 2002. From that moment on, Ventaglio held 40% of the shares, Laudas Volante 60%. On March 31, 2003, Ventaglio took over Lauda's shares and coordinated Lauda Air Italia as a long-haul company with the parallel founded airline Livingston Energy Flight for short-haul routes . In 2005, Lauda Air Italia was fully integrated into Livingstone.

Lauda Air Italia started operations in 1993 with a Boeing 767-300ER named after Enzo Ferrari . In December 1996 another machine of the same model was added, which was named Ayrton Senna . Further Boeing aircraft were used until the takeover by Livingston, then three Airbus A330-200s until operations were ceased . For a short time, short routes with Canadair Regional Jet and Boeing 737-400 were also in the flight schedule.
