history

Eurofly was founded in 1989 a. a. Founded by Alitalia as a holiday airline. By 2000, Alitalia increased the original 45% stake to 100%, but two years later it sold 80% to the Banca Profilo Spinnaker Fund, which also took over the remaining 20% ​​in 2004. Most recently, almost 30% of the airline belonged to the owner of the Italian airline Meridiana .

In November 2009, the merger of Eurofly with Meridiana under the name Meridiana fly was finally announced and implemented by the beginning of 2010.
