Magda Nádor

Magda Nádor (born December 16, 1955 in Dorog ) is a Hungarian opera singer ( soprano ) and vocal teacher.

Life

Magda Nádor studied singing with Edit Fábry at the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy in Budapest . In 1980 she made her debut as “Konstanze” in Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Budapest State Opera , where she stayed until 1982. She then moved to the Komische Oper and State Opera in Berlin , where she was particularly successful as a singer in productions by Harry Kupfer and as a performer in “Konstanze”, “Gilda” ( Rigoletto ) and “Queen of the Night” ( Die Zauberflöte ) Set standards. Kupfer also planned productions of Lucia di Lammermoor and La traviata for her .

Her career then took her to Aix-en-Provence , to the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Vienna State Opera . As Oscar in Verdi's Un ballo in maschera she appeared together with Luciano Pavarotti .

Finally she switched to the Anhaltische Theater Dessau , directed by Johannes Felsenstein , as a member of the ensemble .

Since 1999 Magda Nádor has been teaching singing at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, and since 2002 as a state-certified professor.
