Russ Hodge

Russ Hodge (actually Russell Arden Hodge; born September 12, 1939 in Monticello , New York ) is a former American decathlete .

In 1963 he was fourth at the Pan American Games in São Paulo and in 1964 ninth at the Olympic Games in Tokyo .

On July 24, 1966, he set a world record in Los Angeles with 8230 points.

In 1971 he won silver at the Pan American Games in Cali .

His mother was the high jumper Alice Arden .
