Russian Plekhanov Economic University
The Russian Plekhanov University of Economics ( Russian: Российский экономический университет имени Г. В. Плеханова ), formerly the Plekhanov University of Economics , is a business school in Moscow , Russia .
history
The university named after Georgi Plekhanov is the largest business school in Russia and the former Soviet Union . It was founded in 1907 by the Vishnyakov family of merchants, a family dynasty like that of the Abrikosov and Smirnov, and at the time was the only university that allowed women to study.
University
Around 13,000 students study at Plekhanov University. The language of instruction on the six-semester bachelor's degree programs and the three- to four-semester master's degree programs is Russian and English. A student university has been set up where students can study from the age of 15.
University partnerships are maintained with numerous international institutions. Dual degrees are offered together with universities in the Netherlands, Great Britain, Denmark and the USA . A part-time MBA program with a double degree is offered in cooperation with the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences .
The Plechanow Academy cooperates with the HTW Dresden and the Institut de preparation à l'administration et à la gestion Paris-Nice as part of the tri-national course “European Master in International Management”.
An exchange program has been initiated with the University of Konstanz and the University of Mannheim .
