Tatiana Alexejewna Golikowa ( Russian Татья́на Алексе́евна Го́ликова ; born February 9, 1966 in Mytishchi ) is a Russian economist and politician. Since May 2018, she has been Vice Prime Minister for Education, Health and Social Policy in the Medvedev government .

biography

After completing a degree in economics at the Plekhanov Academy of Economics in Moscow , she worked in the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, where she initially became head of the budget department. She has been Deputy Minister of Finance since 1999, first under Mikhail Kasyanov , then under Alexei Kudrin .

On September 24, 2007 she was appointed Minister of Health and Social Affairs by then President Vladimir Putin, replacing Mikhail Zurabow . When the new Russian government was formed following the election of Medvedev as president in May 2008, she was confirmed in this office. Maternity capital was introduced during her aegis .

From May 2012 to September 2013 she was economic policy advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin . On September 20, 2013, Golikova was confirmed in her new post as Chair of the Audit Office of the Russian Federation. In May 2018, she resigned as Chair of the Court of Auditors and became Vice-Prime Minister for Education, Health and Social Policy.

Golikova has been married to the former Minister of Industry and Trade, Viktor Khristenko, since 2003 . She received several state awards, including the Order of Merit for the Fatherland .
