Civil Code (Russia)

The Russian Civil Code ( Russian Гражданский кодекс Российской Федерации, ГК РФ , Graschdanski kodeks Rossijskoi Federazii, GK RF ) is the Russian private law codification and the main source of Russian civil law. The Russian Civil Code replaced the previous model code of Soviet private law. It consists of 4 parts. The Civil Code was adopted in stages and came into force between 1994 and 2008 . The General Part of the Civil Code entered into force on November 30, 1994 (Ordinance No. 51-ФЗ), Part 4 of December 18, 2006 (Regulation No. 146-ФЗ) Intellectual Property on January 1, 2008 .
